60 second Pivotech profile: Kerryn

60 seconds with Kerryn

If you’ve picked up an order from our Melbourne location recently, you’ll have seen our soon-to-be-showroom and met Kerryn.

Kerryn moved from an internal sales role to the collections counter in January after Michael Tate retired.

What’s your title, and what do you do?

I’m the Pivotech Business Development and Collects Coordinator.

I’m in internal sales and look after all the customers that come to collect their goods. I provide product information, face-to-face customer service, and help customers choose the product that will do what they need it to do.

“Customers will say, ‘I need something that does something-something, what will do this? Can the Evolution do this configuration?’, or ‘What’s the best option to do this drawing?’ And I help them.”

How did you become part of the Ai team? How long have you been here?

Almost three years (three years in August). Basically, I answered ad on Seek. I knew nothing about glass, had no experience in aluminium , but it just worked out. Maybe it’s my silly laugh and that I always see the situation as half full.

What’s your favourite part of the job?

Dealing with the customers and helping people. Internal and external customers. I’m a people person; if I can help someone do something, it’s a win.

Personal Highlights:

What I love about Melbourne:

It’s whatever whatever, relaxed and cruisy, with beautiful beaches, bush walks. There’s always something to do, always something going on. You can do anything you like. Except you always pack for all the weather.

My favorited place ever travelled:

At the moment, my favourite place is Bridgewater. It’s just a quiet country town. We camp and chill out, kick the footie, go for a walk … whatever.

Hobbies:

Netball, I’ve played since I was little. love netball. Catching up with friends and stuff with the kids.

Weirdest thing I’ve ever eaten:

I don’t eat anything too crazy. I like lots of different food, but nothing weird.

Bonus fact!

You just never know what’s going to come out of my mouth … I’m a bit random, the glass is always full, pretty happy-go-lucky. Plus, I can wiggle my ears.
